This past weekend I was blessed to have been able to visit the Gabriel House. The Gabriel House exists to help profoundly handicapped children who would not receive services otherwise. A group of us were able to spend a couple of days playing with the children and getting them out and about! I felt like every moment I was on the verge of tears when I watched the joy of each of these amazing children had in the simplest of things. These tears were happy tears! Happy, because they were loved and cared for! Happy, because it wasn’t a matter of what we could do for them, but rather how they showed us that despite challenges they face everyday they still had smiles and laughter that would melt your heart. Lastly, happy, because there was hope! Thank you to all the staff and leaders who made this trip possible! To see more images, check out the facebook album.
