Irene

Irene

The next child we would like to introduce to you is Irene.  That’s right, Irene, now there are two of us living here.

Imagine coming come from running errands and finding this gift from the Lord waiting for you.  That is just what happened to us!  It is almost like getting an unexpected Valentine.

Irene was a newborn when she arrived at Gabriel house in 2002; left with us by the child welfare department.  The social worker insisted on a name for her before they left so the staff named her Irene after me and I have had a close connection with this Irene ever since and what a joy she has been to all of us.  Her Birthday is November 1, 2002

Like some other children we care for, Irene has the HIV virus but is doing well on the retroviral medication and is otherwise a healthy little girl.  She is a typical four-year old, potty trained, bright, busy running and playing with the other children her age and is all girl; in other words she is very talkative.  We enjoy seeing her thrive and grow so much but are praying that someone will adopt her and give her a loving home and we know she will return that love.

Please pray for Irene that she will continue in good health and come to faith at an early age.
